Now that the second wave of #covid19 is beginning, let’s be reminded of a few things:

Black Lives being lost to police brutality and overreach may be tough for you to swallow, but it's a reality. It is also a reality of other groups of people. The powers just polarize black lives to get us to squabble. All lives are precious, but Black Lives are raised as the banner for war right now. Fight in solidarity and we will support you soon enough.

LGTBQ+ rights are human rights. If you believe persons from said community don't deserve their pursuit of happiness then you must also believe other marginalized groups deserve punishment for expression of their culture. Check your privileges and expand your views.

Governments move when you press them hard enough. They only seem to move slow now because we as a people have been conditioned to be complacent until absolutely necessary. Do not lose the energy of the past month because look how fast they went to work! It is possible to get close to what you want if your movement is strong enough. Keep fighting.

COVID-19 is a real thing. However you may feel about its conception, or its implementation, it is now real. People are dying. The problem is too many people are flocking back to spaces unconcerned about their's and the surrounding persons' health. Get ready.

Now leaving the calm of what seems like the wildest storm of our lives, remember to remain calm when the waves crash. Remain fixed on your goals at hand. The last half of this year may prove tougher than the first, but you made it here. You've received your rest and now it is time to get back up and fight. Whatever your battle is, it is time to win.
